What We Face

We have a housing crisis. Working people cannot afford to buy—or even rent—local housing. As a tourist destination surrounded by protected open space and with growth restricted by zoning and septic limitations, West Marin’s housing is scarce to begin with.

What We Do

As a community land trust, CLAM takes land and housing out of the speculative real estate market and holds it “in trust” to serve as a long-term community asset for housing people.
