Acquisition: Second Street, Point Reyes Station

We're thrilled to announce a major milestone in CLAM's work to house displaced ranch families! In August 2025, CLAM acquired a beautiful property on Second Street in Point Reyes Station, adding three vital units of permanently affordable housing to our community.

This property includes a 3-bedroom/1-bathroom main house, a studio apartment (tenant-occupied at the time of sale), and a 2-bedroom/1-bathroom cottage, representing a significant addition to our portfolio of permanent homes for local workforce families. The acquisition, completed in August 2025, was made possible through the extraordinary generosity of longtime Point Reyes Station residents Jack Kramer and Susan Hayes, who structured a seller-financed, below-market sale that made this purchase achievable. Their commitment to keeping our community whole is truly inspiring.

Since completing the acquisition, we've been able to house two displaced ranch families at this location, providing safe, stable homes for 9 residents from the Seashore and Martinelli Ranch. These families are now settled in a neighborhood close to schools, community services, and the heart of Point Reyes Station, where they can continue contributing to the community they've long called home.

We're deeply grateful to Jack and Susan for their incredible partnership, and to the generous individual donors whose support, commitment, and belief in affordable housing made this acquisition possible. Under CLAM’s stewardship, the property has been offered at a permanently affordable rental rate for displaced ranch residents and will serve the community's affordable housing needs for generations to come.
